Burn Rate is a series exploring the value of art and what we are willing to invest in art. I am selling shares in the project for one dollar each. I use the dollars to create charcoal for the art in the Burn Rate series. As I sell the art, the investors receive a return on their shares. I create the charcoal by soaking dollar bills in water for several hours, drying them in the sun, and then burning them in an oxygen deprived container. This produces charcoal as opposed to ash.
